Signed up for Tournament Board Breaking? This is when you’ll break your boards!

You’ve trained for this. Now comes the part where you find out what you’re really made of. (Hopefully it’s gold!)

This is the day you take your attempts for the Tournament Board Breaking competition. You’ll have a chance to practice on all five techniques before we bow in and do the official breaks.

What happens on board breaking day

You arrive for your appointment slot in your full uniform. We warm up and practice on all five board breaking techniques so your body remembers exactly what it’s supposed to do. Then we bow in and start your official attempts. You get seven total attempts across all five breaks.

The scoring

5/5 Break all five and get a gold medal!

4/5 Break four for a silver medal!

3/5 Break three for a bronze medal!

After your attempts we’ll celebrate your success with a photo! Your physical medal will be awarded after the actual tournament.
